All of the high priority schools participate in the annual Instructional Culture Survey administered by TNTP. The survey is an innovative way to give principals feedback on how well they are managing their school and building the culture within their building. Every instructional staff member in each school will take the anonymous survey and based off the results each school is given a score on a 10-point scale. The Index is a metric that summarizes in a single scale variable how well a school is managing their teacher talent and is a valid indicator of student achievement at the school level. The survey is an important opportunity for teachers to give honest feedback to their administrators and for the administrators to identify growth areas in school wide culture.
