School Improvement II schools are the final subset of High Priority Schools. Campuses with the School improvement II designation have not made Adequate Yearly Progress for the past three years. Once a school does not make adequate yearly progress for four (4) years, they are eligible for corrective action and can enter the Striving Schools Zone. The goal is to get these schools back in good standing and to avoid more drastic measures implemented in the Striving School Zone by placing highly effective teachers in every classroom. Similar to the SSZ, the School Improvement II schools are located in every region of the district.
