How to apply: 

IMPORTANT NOTE: If possible, please set up your login to the application using an email address other than your MCSK12.net account.  The MCS email filter often stops emails from teachmemphis.org from being delivered.  Please use an account such as Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo, AOL or other provider for your login.  If you use your MCSK12.net account and are not receiving emails from us about your status, please be sure to log back into your account frequently to check for any status updates. 

  • Click here to create an account with TeachMemphis.org or to log back into your account.
  • Login to your account.
  • You will be asked to answer a series of eligibility questions to determine if you are permitted to transfer.
  • If you meet the eligibility requirements (based on the answers you submit), you will be asked to enter basic information about yourself and your certification.
  • Review the posted vacancies. Indicate in your application which school positions you are interested in applying for based on posted vacancies. Using the drop down menus indicate:   
  1. Your geographic preferences
  2. The grade level you prefer (and are certified) to teach
  3. The school, subject area and grade you prefer (please choose only positions that are listed in the vacancy posting document)
  4. If you have a preference for more than five vacancies, please use the text box to provide the school name, subject area and grade for any additional vacancies you would like to be considered for.
  5. Indicate any coaching or extracurricular activities you are interested in leading.
  6. After reviewing your preferences, click "Save and Next"
  7. If you have not already done so, please upload a copy of your resume and your letter of intent*
  8. Complete and submit the application

*The resume and letter of intent are optional, but we highly recommend submitting these pieces as a way to ensure better matches between teachers and their schools. They will be used as an additional tool by principals to determine if your teaching philosophy and work style are a good fit for the school to which you are applying.
