Transfer Qualifications

Before considering a transfer out of their buildings, teachers should be certain to review the requirements for transferring, outlined explicitly in the MEA contract: 

• Teachers may NOT be on an interim contract
• Teachers may NOT transfer if they are in their second year of probationary status
• Teachers may NOT be teaching on a permit
• Teachers can NOT have been non re-elected by their Principal
• Teachers can NOT have voluntarily transferred in the last three years
