Transfer Teachers

The second voluntary transfer period will be from May 12-19, 2010.  Please review the menu items to the left to determine if you are eligible for a transfer, learn how to apply and access the available transfer postings.

The Changes

The new Office of Strategic Teacher Recruitment and Staffing (STARS) understands that a teacher’s satisfaction with his or her working environment affects his ability to teach effectively.  One school community may be a better fit for you than another.  Therefore, one of the goals of our office is to ensure strong matches between both current and new teachers and their schools so that we reduce teacher turnover rates and, thereby, improve student performance for the long-term. That is why we have made important changes to the application process.
